Abstract
1,249,568. Boiler furnaces; hot water boilers. YGNIS S.A. 18 Feb., 1969 [21 Feb., 1968; 6 Feb., 1969], No. 8653/69. Headings F4A and F4B. A hot water boiler comprises a generally cylindrical combustion chamber 13 having a coaxial outlet opening 16 and a radiallyextending inlet pipe 23, said pipe 23 including a burner, preferably an oil burner, so positioned in the said pipe (see Fig. 3) as to create a vortex about the central axis of the said combustion chamber. In the embodiment shown, the boiler includes a heating water space 7, a draw-off hot water tank 33 and a solid fuel combustion chamber 18 disposed beneath and in communication with the chamber 13, the combined exhaust gases from the said chambers passing upwardly through the annular duct 29 to an outlet 31. In other embodiments, the boiler can be either horizontally or vertically disposed, with or without the solid fuel arrangement, or the drawoff water tank.
