Abstract
124,642. Wans, O., and Sharpley, G. R. June 5, 1918. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-A nozzle, Fig. 1, for injecting two kinds of liquid fuel comprises two valves of which the valve f for light fuel is mounted inside the valve b for heavy fuel. Both are opened by the pressure of their respective liquids on their heads h, c and are closed by springs d, j. The face of the valve b may be annular and the valve f may close upon the same seating. The pump q, Fig. 2, for the lighter fuel is worked by the pressure in the heavier fuel pump r acting upon the enlarged head of its plunger against the pressure of a spring u; different pumps for the two fuels may be used. Specification 20582/09 is referred to.
