Abstract

1,246,407. Milling apparatus; tube mills. BUREAU DE RECHERCHES GEOLOGIQUES ET MINIERES. 10 Jan., 1969 [23 Aug., 1968], No. 1567/69. Heading B2A. [Also in Division F2] A mill has a rotatable cylinder 1 with a series of chains 6 secured to its inner wall, and feed and discharge means 2, 3. The chains have attachment points disposed on a helical line, and each chain link has bars or spurs secured to it (see Division F2). The chains may be attached to the cylinder walls at both ends. The cylinder is rotated on rollers 8 and guided by rollers 9 by a motor and gearing 11. Feed from a channel 12 may be assisted by a vibratory mechanism and the drum may be inclined. The discharge aperture 4 may be adjusted by fitting rings of different sizes.
