Abstract

1,244,339. Closing containers; portable containers. SWISS ALUMINIUM Ltd. 20 Nov., 1968 [22 Nov., 1967], No. 55087/68. Headings B8C and B8D. A package comprises a flanged container body 1 and lid 2 which has a heat sealing area 10 laterally within co-operating rolled portions 13, 6. The lid 2 and body 1 are heat sealed by thermoplastic linings 4, 7, e.g. one of which is polyethylene and the other polypropylene. The body 1 and lid 2 may be of aluminium foil and a pull tab 3 may be incorporated.
