A dental articulator comprises a lower frame member 10 with an adjustable incisal table at its anterior end and a condyle (26), Fig. 1 (not shown) at each side of its posterior end, both condyles being laterally movable relative to the frame member, and an upper frame member 32 with an upright incisal pin 34 at its anterior end and a fossa guide assembly, Fig. 1, (not shown) at each side of its posterior end, each fossa guide assembly comprising a superior, posterior and lateral guide member, each of which is independantly adjustable, the fossa guide assemblies cooperating with the condyles to enable jaw movements to be simulated on dental casts which may be held in opposed relationship between the frame members. Each fossa guide member may be locked in an adjusted position, and the position registered on scales Fig. 3 (not shown) marked on the exterior of the assembly. A plurality of contoured guide surfaces may be attached to the lateral and superior guide members to simulate accurately differing jaw movements. The incisal table Fig. 6, (not shown) is adjustable about two perpendicular axis, one of which is parallel to the axis through the centres of the condyles, scales again being provided to register such displacements. A centre latch, Fig. 8, (not shown) is included which enables the frame members to be aligned about a common longitudinal axis.
