Abstract

A profile transferring device comprises two spaced members 1 and 2, at least one longitudinally extending permanently magnetic strip 3 and a plurality of rods 5 of magnetic material extending transversely to the strip in the gap between the spaced members. Member 1 may be composed of a resin impregnated fabric or of a synthetic resin, member 2 of a non-magnetic stainless steel alloy, the magnetic strips 3 of a flexible material such as liarium ferrite in a synthetic resin and the rods 5 of mild steel. The rods may be locked in position by a rubber strip 6 applied by rotating nut 9. The upper face of member 1 may be curved in planes perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the rods.
