Abstract

1,236,412. Loom dobby. STAUBLI & CO. GEB. 26 June, 1968 [27 June, 1967], No. 30401/68. Heading DIE. The dobby comprises a baulk 1 having attachment hooks 5 pivoted to each end by a connection permitting pivotal and rectilinear movement. The baulk comprises two co-extensive arms joined by pins 12. A block 16 engaging the pin slides in a slot 15 of the hub 14 of a plate 13 between the baulk arms. Double ended hooks 5 are mounted on the hub either side of the plate. The arrangement permits pivotal and rectilinear movement relatively between the baulk and hooks. The hooks are urged clockwise by a spring 18. When the ends of the baulk are adjacent stop rails 6, cam 19 forces the hooks anticlockwise against the springs. If the end of the baulk is to be retained a stop arm 21 is raised, at the dictates of the pattern cards 8 and engages an abutment face 22. Otherwise the hooks engage the knives and are carried with them when they move away from the stops.
