Abstract

1,236,186. Valves. NEVE & C. S.n.c. COSTRUZIONI MECCANICHE. 17 Feb., 1970, No. 7612/70. Heading F2V. A thermostatic control valve for hot water radiators comprises a valve member 7 co-operating with a valve seat 6 formed in a body 1 and controlled by a control handle 22 and a thermostatic element 26, wherein the member has a head provided with a frusto-conical surface 7a and a toroidal packing 8 which co-operate respectively with a frusto-conical surface 6a and a cylindrical bore 6 both formed on the valve seat. The thermostatic valve element 26 acts on the valve member 7 via a spring 28 and the axial setting of the thermostatic element 26 is adjusted by the handle 22 which may be locked in various positions by a slide 34 engaging one of notches 31 of the handle 22. With the valve body in position in the pipework the handle 22, element 26, member 16 and sleeve 13 may be removed.
