Abstract

1,235,574. Electrostatic precipitators. METALLGESELLSCHAFT A.G. 27 June, 1969 [15 July, 1968], No. 32722/69. Heading B2J. Collecting electrodes 1 in an electrostatic precipitator are assembled into units held together by distance pieces 5 and are inserted into upper and lower rails 2, 4 and are connected firmly to the rails 2 at their lower ends. The electrodes form parallel gas ducts along which the gas to be cleaned passes horizontally. Perforated plates 6, 7 are arranged transverse to the gas flow direction to give the electrode assembly additional rigidity.
