Abstract

1,235,490. Platform vehicles. G. ROSEN. 12 Sept., 1968 [13 Sept., 1967], No. 43334/68. Heading B7B. The platform 1 of a vehicle is provided at its edges with recesses 2 provided with gudgeons 34 and straps 31 to retain the detachable stanchions 3 in position. The stanchions house wedge locking members 24 reciprocated by links 22 during pivotal movement of the levers 13 about the pivots 14 so that when the levers 13 are pivoted upwardly wedges 24 are withdrawn from the straps 31 and at their upper ends the latches 5 are rotated out of locking engagement with the side boards thereby allowing the latter to be pivoted down about the gudgeons 34.
