In a plough in which the upper face 10 of the body 6 of the plough is inclined downwardly from the face side towards the goaf side of the body and pivotally supports about an axis 11 at right angles to itself a tool holder 7, relative pivotal movement between the holder and the body is limited by an interengaging tongue and slot connection 12, 13 between the holder and the body. The body and holder mount tools for bi-directional ploughing.
