Abstract
1,233,406. Transistor control circuit. CESKOSLOVENSKA AKADEMIE Ved. 1 July, 1968 [16 Aug., 1967], No. 31352/68. Heading H3T. [Also in Division G3] Power supplied from a source 1 to an output 16 through a regulating member 2 is controlled by a signal at 8, 9 derived from an amplifier 4 in dependence upon an input signal 11, 10 which may be a pulse signal, there being a resistor between 9 and 10; and when the output 15 of the regulator reaches a certain level as determined by a reference source 3 with which it is compared at 12, 14 in the amplifier 4, the control signal at the output 9 of the amplifier is limited. The amplifier 4 contains a transistor (18, Fig. 2, not shown), the reference voltage (12) being applied to its emitter, and the fed-back output (14) being connected by a resistance chain (20-25) to its base. When the transistor conducts due to the output voltage 15 reaching the certain level a current flows in the resistor (17) connecting the input signal terminal (10) to the control signal terminal (9) to thereby reduce the control signal and effect limiting action. The transistor may be PNP or NPN and protection diodes (19, 22) are provided for when the input 10 is less than the reference voltage. A speed-up capacitor (28) is provided.
