Abstract

1,232,717. Coaxial interconnection. BUNKER-RAMO CORP. 7 July, 1969 [16 Aug., 1968], No. 34213/69. Heading H1R. A method of manufacturing an electrical interconnection structure includes the steps of forming a conducting member 10 with a first elongated recess 16 in one surface, placing a sheet of heat and pressure responsive dielectric material adjacent the same surface of the member and thereby filling said recess by applying heat and pressure to the sheet. Excess dielectric material is removed from the first surface. A central conductor 20 is disposed between two such conducting members 10 and 12 to form an effective coaxial transmission line. Other forms of coaxial transmission lines such as 30, 42, and with additional etching (100), (86) and (94) (Fig. 2f, not shown) may be formed by this method. The dielectric material consists of a mixture of thermosetting resin and thermosplastic.
