Abstract
1,232,130. Pullulanase. CPC INTERNATIONAL Inc. 11 Nov., 1969 [13 Nov., 1968], No. 55221/69. Heading C3H. A method of making a pullulanase enzyme preparation comprises the step of providing as a carbohydrate source starch or a starch hydrolysate having a D.E. of not more than 42 in at least one of the stages of culture maintenance, inoculum development, or fermentation. The enzyme may be produced by fermentation of Aerobacter aerogenes. The starch or hydrolysate is most preferably present in all three stages. The enzyme may be precipitated from the cellfree culture liquor with acetone.
