Abstract
1,231,890. Gas burners. FER FABBRICA EUROPEA RISCALDAMENTO S.p.A. 14 Oct., 1968 [17 Oct., 1967], No. 48569/68. Heading F4T. A gas burner formed of stamped, bent and welded plate, comprises a first chamber 2 communicating with a gas supply header conduit through an opening 7 and connected by a longitudinal slit 3 to a second chamber 4 partly defined by side walls 5, 5<SP>1</SP> diverging in a direction away from the slit and an arcuate cross-section wall 10 opposite the slit provided with two parallel rows of openings 12, 13, the openings 12 being longitudinally offset from openings 13. The walls 5, 51 have ridges 6 and corresponding depressions 8, extending away from the slot and simultaneously increasing in size, a depression on one wall being opposite a ridge on the other wall, and an opening is provided between each opposed ridge and depression, but nearer the associated ridge. Thus due to the arcuate nature of wall 10, the central normal axes of openings 12 and 13 form two planes which intersect at an angle..
