Abstract
1,229,081. Tablets of chlorine releasing compound. M. A. MAY. 23 July, 1969 [14 Jan., 1969], No. 2140/69. Heading A5E. A tablet of a compound which releases chlorine on contact with water and finds application in providing an even supply of chlorine in water treatment or sanitization of swimming pools, has substantially parallel plane faces with the surface of the edge between the faces sealed by a water-impervious and waterinsoluble material. The sealing material may be a band of material which adheres or which is attached by adhesive (e.g. self-adhesive tape) or may be a coating, e.g. of paint, resin, rubber or wax. Optionally one face surface also may be sealed with a water-impervious and -insoluble material.
