Abstract

1,228,653. Caps for bottles &c. MITSUBISHI YUKA K.K., and I. NISHIKAWA. 28 June, 1968 [10 July, 1967], No. 30840/68. Heading B8T. A sealing disc for a crown cap is formed, as shown in Fig. 2, of flexible synthetic plastics with a peripheral flange 5 capable of forming a seal against the cap skirt, Fig. 4. An annular portion 3a 1 seals against the end of the bottle neck 10 to which the closure is fitted and annular projections 7, 8 bear against the underside of the closure to withstand deformation of the disc under pressure from the bottle contents. The annular projections 7, 8 may be replaced by a single annular projection or by 3 or more such projections.
