Abstract

1,228,641. Magazine. E. J. ARDOLINO. 10 May, 1968 [28 Aug., 1967], No. 22308/68. Heading F3C. A dispensing device, as described an ammunition magazine, comprises a tubular portion 11 and an end cap 12 shown in a lower position wherein a column of cartridges 15 is pressed against retaining lips 26 by a first, reduced, force provided by spring 13, the cap being movable to an upper position (Fig. 3, not shown) wherein the force is increased, when the magazine is required for use. Detent means which may comprise lugs pressed out from portion 11 and engageable with sets of recesses 29 in the cap retain the cap in either of the two positions.
