Abstract

122,746. Austin Motor Co., and Austin, Sir H. March 27, 1918. Securing fly-wheels &c. on shafts.-Fly-wheels, &c. are secured to end or other flanges on shafts &c., particularly where the parts are difficult of access, by bolts D held tightly by driving or tapping and by keys d in one part C, the bolts passing through enlarged holes a<1> in the other part A. The drive is transmitted through split washers F conical exteriorly or interiorly and forced up by nuts d', with which they may be formed integral. Additional bolts E without conical washers may be used for clamping the parts A, C together without transmitting the drive.
