Abstract

[Also in Division F4] According to one aspect of the invention a headlamp has an optical component secured to a case component by means of the snap-in kind comprising a plurality of male elements on one component co-operating with a plurality of female elements 2, 3, 4, Figs. 1, 2 and 3 on the other component, some (3 and 4) of the female elements each having an elongate channel 3d, 4d for co-operation with the respective male element so as to allow tolerance in the relative positioning of said elements on the components of the headlamp, with the elements still being capable of mating. According to another aspect of the invention a headlamp has an optical component 6, Fig. 5, secured to a case component 7 by means of the snap-in kind comprising a plurality of male elements 8 on one component co-operating with a female element on the other component, the female element being in the form of a continuous ring having a continuous channel 6g into which all of said male elements are adapted to engage so as to allow tolerance in the relative positioning of said elements on the components of the headlamp with the elements still being capable of mating.
