Abstract

1,225,617. Transistor time delay and oscillator circuits. J. D. McCLUSKEY. 24 Oct., 1968 [28 Oct., 1967], No. 49090/67. Heading H3T. [Also in Division G4] The Specification describes a transistor time delay circuit T and an astable multivibrator F for use in a direction indicator system for a road vehicle (see Division G4). The lamps L1-L9 (Fig. 4) may be flashed under control of switches SW1A, SW1B and P operated by ring (8, Fig. 3, not shown) by an astable transistor multivibrator F which has a flasher operating relay B/3 controlling contacts B1, B2 and B3. An adjustable capacitance charging timing device T is connected so as to effect automatic cancelling of the above signals after a predetermined time, the astable multivibrator being disabled by contacts FL1. The right, left and central lamps L1, L2; L4, L5; L7, L8 may be flashed singly to give turn and straight signals or both right and centre or both left and centre lamps may be flashed to give lane change signals or all the lamps may be flashed together to give a warning indication by closing switch SW2B, SW2C, SW2D and switch SW2A which disables the timing device T. Pilot lamps L3, L6 and L9 are provided and relays FSA-FSF function to cancel a signal if one of indicating lamps fails.
