[Also in Divisions F4 and H1] An article of jewellery such as a brooch or ear-ring comprises a lamp 8 mounted between a support 2 and its translucent cover 1, a dry-cell 6 connected to the support and a means for causing the lamp to flash. The cover 1 is dome-shaped and the support 2 consists of a circular cover plate 3, a lever 4 and a leaf spring 5 cut from the lever 4 and hinged to the plate 3 to function as the clip of an ear-ring. The dry-cell 6 is held betwen the lever 4 and an arm 17. The flasher means comprises a freely suspended contact pin 14 electrically connected, through the lamp 8, to one pole of the cell 6 and located in a fixed, loopshaped contact 16 which is connected to the other pole, and which retains the outward swinging movements of the pin 14 thus completing the electric circuit.
