Abstract

1,224,913. Continuous casting. URALSKY ZAVOD TYAZHELOGO MASHINOSTROENIA IM. S. ORDZHONIKODZE. 8 July, 1968, No. 32458/68. Heading B3F. Each mould of a two-mould installation is served by a pair of tundishes 4 at the ends of an S- or Z-shaped bar 1 swingable when in a raised position about a vertical axis 5 to bring the tundishes alternately over the mould for continuous casting. The tundishes 4 are supported at the ends of the two bars by hooking on to supports 2, 3. The bar is lifted by an hydraulic cylinder (9) at its axis and swung by a further cylinder 11.
