Abstract

1,224,515. Bottle-washing machines. HOLSTEW & KAPPERT MASCHINENFABRIK PHOENIX G.m.b.H. 31 Oct., 1968 [9 March, 1968], No. 51583/68. Heading B8T. In a bottle-washing machine the spraying nozzles 8 carried on a frame 4 supported in pendulum fashion, are maintained in alignment with the bottle orifices by a turnstile 10 in cooperation with conveyer chain 1. The turnstile 10 is secured to frame 4 by an upright support 9. Link pin 2 of the conveyer chain 1 engages the vertical arm of the turnstile 10 and moves the frame 4 sideways. The spraying operation then proceeds. After it ceases, chain 1 is advanced, the horizontal arm of the turnstile 10, being freed from fixed stop 11, pivots to a vertical position. Gravity pulls back the frame 4 and the cycle repeats.
