[Also in Divisions E1-E2] An elevated flooring panel comprises a wood, e.g. plywood, core 2 covered on its upper face by a sheet 3 of synthetic plastics such as P.V.C. and covered on its lower face by a sheet 4 of asbestos, the underside of which is covered by fire-resisting metal sheeting 5, the panel margins being fitted with angle section bar 6 which protect the edges of the asbestos sheet from damage. The depending flanges of the bars 6 may engage slots 7 in adjustable support props 8. The underside of the panel may be covered by a burnable envelope 12 containing fire-extinguishing powder 13.
