[Also in Divisions F2 and H2] The casing of a dynamo-electric machine has a polygonal external cross-section, at least one external face having at least one T-shaped groove, such as 1, Fig. 1, formed therein by means of which an attachment can be connected to the casing. As shown in Fig. 5, a terminal box is mounted on the casing by hooks 6, 7 and lugs 8, 9 which engage a pair of T-shaped grooves. Alternatively, Fig. 6, the grooves may receive nuts 11 engageable by bolts 12 for mounting the casing on a wall 10.
