Abstract

A device for positioning a rock or like drilling mechanism comprises a mobile frame 3, a base 7, 8 pivotably mounted on a horizontal shaft 4, a support plate 10 slidably mounted on the base and carrying a perpendicular shaft 11, a support 12-14 for an arm 15, 16, 18 and a jib 17 pivotally connected to the arm. The support member 12 is rotatable relative to shaft 11, and support members 13, 14 are pivotally connected. The arm comprises telescopic members 15, 16, the latter being rotatable relative to the former by a drive device 21, 22 which may be hydraulic and carrying an extension 18. The device may be adapted for supporting a plurality of rock or like drilling mechanisms (Fig. 1, not shown).
