[Also in Division C3] A marking composition comprises polyethylene having a molecular weight of 2500 to 6000 and a die or pigment. In addition, the composition may include glyceryl oleate, paraffin wax, beeswax, candelilla wax and montan wax. Suitable dyes or pigments are for example monoazo dye, copper phthalocyanine dye, aniline pigment with added titanium dioxide, iron oxide, lamp black, and potassium chromate. 5% to 50% by weight of the pigment or dye is preferred on the basis of the total weight of the composition.
