Abstract

1,211,028. Brooms. J. BARKER, and D. SAVILLE, [trading as BARDEN SUPPLY CO.]. 14 Nov., 1968 [14 Nov., 1967], No. 51687/67. Heading B4K. [Also in Division A4] A window cleaning device comprises a cleaning head 10 supplied with cleaning fluid through a flexible tube 28 which passes through a handle of adjustable length and consisting of telescoping tubes 22, 24 which are secured in adjusted position by a screw clamp 26. The cleaning head may be a brush head having bristles 12, a passage 16 for cleaning fluid, and a boss 18 to which the tube 28 is connected. The tubes 22, 24 are of stainless steel or plastics material and relative rotation, when the tubes 22, 24 are of circular cross-section, is prevented by inward projections carried by a clip and passing through diametrically opposed bores in the outer tube into depressions in the inner tube.
