[Also in Division C1] The novel compound 2,4-dinitrobenzofuroxane barium salt is prepared by adding an aqueous solution of a water-soluble barium salt in excess to an aqueous solution of the sodium salt of dinitrobenzofuroxane and isolating the precipitate.
