Abstract

1,210,163. Filing papers. VISIRECORD SYSTEMS, CANADA Ltd. 28 Nov., 1968 [21 May, 19681, No. 24099/68. Heading B6E. A card filing appliance includes a card holder 16 having opposed side walls 17, a bottom portion 18, a rear wall portion 19 and a front facing portion 20 extending above and below the bottom portion 18. The side walls 17 and bottom portion 18 are integral, and the rear wall portion 19 and front facing portion 20 are interconnected and fixed to the bottom portion 18 by a reinforcing member 22. The side walls and bottom portion may be of plastics material or stiff cardboard and the member 22 and portions 19, 20 of metal strip or hard plastics material. The holder 16 may be supported in a suspension file carrier 10, which may include an index receiving member 15. The index receiving member may comprise a channel shaped member one limb of which is attached to a side wall 11 of the carrier 10, so that a side wall of an adjacent carrier may also fit in the channel shaped member. The front facing portion 20 may bear index marks (25), Fig. 2, not shown.
