A conveyer system, wherein, load carrying trolleys are propelled along a fixed track by pusher dogs on an endless driven chain travelling along a path vertically above the track, comprises a first track having a track switch at a point 19, from which point 19 a second fixed track 20 extends in spaced substantially parallel side by side relation with a continuing portion 18 of the first track, a plurality of pairs of trolleys A and B the trolleys of each pair being interconnected in tandem by a tow bar, means for operating the track switch to divert the trailing trolley B on to the second track 20, a first endless driven chain 16 operative to drive the leading trolley A of each pair beyond the track switch to a point 22 on the continuing portion 18 of the first track where a second endless driven chain 25 takes over the drive of the leading trolley A whereby as a result of the tow bar interconnection of the trolleys A and B the trailing trolley B will be moved along the second track 20 with the tow bar extending transversely with respect to the first and second tracks. As shown, the second track 20 and the continuing portion 18 of the first track extend through a drying over or storage compartment 17, the track switch being on one side of the oven or compartment 17 with a point 21 at the other side of the oven or compartment 17 where the tracks merge again to a single track allow the trolleys A, B to again travel in trandem. The first endless driven chain 16 is directed around the oven or compartment 17 between points 22 and 24 and the strains 16 and 25 with chain 16 being driven faster than chain 25 are synchronized by some appropriate mechanical or electrical means to ensure correct transfer at the points 22 and 24.
