Pollination of alfalfa or other trefoils is effected by subjecting the plants to the blowing action of a stream of warm air and carbon dioxide from the exhaust of a jet engine mounted on a vehicle. The engine may be equipped with means, e.g. an injector, to reduce the temperature of the exhaust.
