A combined table, chair and artists easel comprises a pair of parallel frame members 2 connected by a seat 3 and supported by two pairs of pivoted legs 4, 5, and a pair of struts 25 adjustably connected to the overhanging ends of the frame members 2 and supporting an easel 13. The struts 25 have slots 26 through which bolts 28 at the ends of the frame members 2 pass and the upper ends of the struts 25 are pivoted to the easel 13. The pair of legs 5 extend above the seat 3 and have bolts 23 which pass through slots 22 in ribs 21 at the sides of the easel. The easel has a bottom holder 14 for a canvas, and a top holder 16 is carried by a slidable flat mem ber 15 clamped in adjusted position by a bolt 18 secured to the easel and extending through a slot 17 in the flat member 15. Two pairs of stays 6, 7 are pivotally secured to the frame members 2 at points 8 and are releasably secured to the legs 4, 5 by bolts and wing nuts 9. The easel may be used as a chair back by lowering it until the bottom holder 14 rests against the frame members and engages the end of the seat to prevent pivotal movement of the easel (Fig. 2). The easel can be set in horizontal position to serve as a Table (Fig. 3). The unit can be supported with the seat vertical so as to rest on the sides of the pair of legs 4 (Fig. 5). The unit can be folded flat after removing four bolts (Fig. 6). A carrying handle (29) is provided on one of the frame members 2. In a modification, Fig. 7, the seat 3 also serves as the pivoted lid of a storage box and the legs 4, 5 are arranged in a cross and pivoted together at their point of intersection. The legs 4 are pivoted to the frame members 2 and a tee bar 32 on the other legs 5 engages a stop 33 on the frame members. An additional leg 34 is secured to the frame members 2 and is adjustable lengthwise to accommodate ground irregularities. An undercut block 39 at the lower end of the leg 34 co-operates with the stop 33 to lock the legs in the folded condition. Struts 25 supporting the easel 15 are pivoted to the ends of the frame members 2 and a flat board 43 is secured to the front faces of the struts 25 and serves as a guide for the sliding movement of the easel.
