[Also in Division F4] A slat assembly operating device for rotating parallel slats, e.g. of a louvre-type ventilation window, comprises spaced parallel arms 4 pivoted to a channel-shaped supporting member 1 and rockable about parallel axes 3, one end portion of each arm 4 being formed into a pocket 5 for holding one end of a slat and the other end portion of each arm 4 being pivotally connected to a bar 12 which is operable to simultaneously rotate all the pockets 5 through the same angle and which lies on the side of the supporting member 1 opposite to the arms, the bar 12 being connected to the arms 4 by pins 8 passing through slats 2 in the supporting member which are arcuate and centred on the axes 3 The arms 4 are preferably formed as cranked plates, and one arm is provided with an extension 9 to form an operating handle. A brake 11 may be provided on one arm to clamp the slat assembly in any position. When the device is used in a window, the slats are of a conventional glazing material.
