Abstract

1,207,891. Brackets. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. 1 Feb., 1968, No. 5124/68. Heading A4B. [Also in Division F2] A rack including a load bearing member 30 supported by an upright 10 includes a nut 20 held captive in a cruciform section, longitudinal groove 11-13 in the upright 10, the nut 20 being of resilient sheet metal and U-shaped in cross-section, a hole 23 being provided in the web 21 of the nut 20 to receive a self tapping screw 40 which cuts a thread in the parallel sides 22 of the nut 20, and the nut sides being provided with outwardly and forwardly directed, resilient leaf portions 24 which snap behind front wall parts 14 of the upright 10 when the nut 20 is pushed into the groove 11-13. The nut 20 may be adjustably positioned along the length of the groove 11-13 prior to passing the screw 40 through a hole 31 in the member 30 and through the nut hole 23 to firmly clamp the member 30.
