A high-speed double-lift open-shed dobby has two pattern drums 17, 21 acting directly on rockers 14, 18 which act directly on the lifting hooks 8, 9. The rockers are urged against the hooks and against the pattern drums by springs 25, 30, which are stronger than the spring 32 which urges the hooks towards the draw knives 2, 3. The draw knives are oscillated by an eccentric.
