1,207,484. Brake and clutch levers. DOHERTY MOTOR CYCLE ACCESSORIES Ltd. 1 Nov., 1967 [1 Nov., 1966], No. 48871/66. Heading B7E. A lever 1 controlling a clutch or brake by way of a Bowden cable 17 is retained in its actuated position by a catch 10 which is pivoted to the sides of the lever at 11 and urged anti-clockwise by a spring 14. On pivoting the lever clockwise to the position shown to disengage the clutch or apply the brake, an end 10c of the catch engages an indent 2a of a bracket 2 on which the lever is pivoted, so that the lever is locked in this position until the catch is released by pressing upwardly on a button 12 on the catch which passes freely through the base of the lever.
