Abstract

1,205,502. Taking up slack in cables. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. 14 March, 1968 [22 March, 1967], No. 12453/68. Heading B8B. A device for supporting flexible conductors supplying X-ray apparatus 10, 11, comprises an extensible channel member 20, wherein conductors 19 are looped back on themselves and fastened loosely along part of their length to a curved cross-section spring metal strip 25, which acts as a U-shaped support. One end of the strip is fastened to a transverse beam 14, at 26, while, at 27, the other end is attached to the channel member. When beam 14 is moved, the U-bent region change causes one leg of the conductors and strip to move at the expense of the other. The conductors running through the beam to a movable carriage 13 carrying the apparatus 10, 11 may be handled in a similar manner. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 893,661.
