Abstract

1,205,070. Excavator teeth mounts. CUTTING EDGES PTY Ltd. 20 Dec., 1968 [28 Dec., 1967], No. 60871/68. Heading E1F. A digger tooth adaptor is so constructed that it may be used on any digger bucket no matter how far from the leading edge of the lip of the bucket a hole is provided for the passage of a clamping bolt for clamping the adaptor to the bucket. To allow of such usage the adaptor comprises an upper member 2 pivotally conneoted at its leading edge by a resilient retainer 15 to a lower member terminating in a forwardly extending tooth-mounting nose 18. The two members, in use of the adaptor, embrace the lip 3 of a bucket and are clamped thereto by one or more nut and bolt assemblies. Each assembly passes through a hole 30 in the lip 3, slots 8, 9 in the members 1, 2 and bores in plates 29 having serrated edges by which the plates are appropriately positioned along the slots 10, 22 by engagement with the serrated side walls 24 of the slots 10, 22 which are formed in the parts 1, 2 to be co-extensive with the slots 8, 9 thereof.
