[Also in Division F4] A catalytic oxidation element 31, which may comprise a platinum coating on ceramic honey comb material, is arranged in a split tube 27 of deformable material so that the element and tube can be readily fitted into. place to act as an oven vent. The element is held in place by a spring clip 32 engaging annular grooves 37, 38 in the tube 27, and may be supported by lugs 24 projecting from a locating collar 22 on the oven over which the tube fits.
