Abstract

1,202,417. Warehouse storage systems. J. L. FARIS. 11 March, 1969 [12 Dec., 1967], No. 56305/67. Heading A4T. Pallets 3 are stored on rails or rollers 2 in a pair of stacks 1 having a space 4 therebetween in which a frame 5 can be moved up to each pallet level, e.g. by screws 6 driven by electric motor 8 via rods 10 and nuts 11 or by hydraulic or pneumatic jacks, supported at least from the top of the stacks and beam 12 carrying a pallet engaging latch 17 transverse the frame moved by motor 14 and screw 13, the pallets being handled on the frame manually, by fork-lift or crane. The frame may transverse an aisle formed by space 4 between a line of pairs of rocks by having supports for screws 6 moving on tracks and is controlled from console 18 which may move along the aisle with the frame.
