Abstract
1,202,324. Laminated floor tile. ARMSTRONG CORK CO. 31 Jan., 1968 [3 Feb., 1967], No. 4943/68. Heading B5N. [Also in Divisions B2 and E1] A laminated floor tile comprises a thin wear layer 10 on a backing of a resilient foamed layer 14, the peripheral area 16 of the face of the tile comprising the wear layer being depressed relative to the remainder of the face and the foam beneath the depressed area being denser than the foam beneath the remainder of the face. Depression and densification may be effected by crushing the foam or by differential foaming.
