Abstract

1,201,607. Infrared filters; optical projectors. TEACHING PROGRAMMES Ltd. Nov.17, 1967 [Oct.6, 1966], No.44779/66. Headings G2A; G2J. A sachet 30 of water, or an aqueous solution, is used for absorbing infrared radiation in a slide projector. As shown, the light from lamp 10 passes through an aperture 16 in a plate 17 then through the lower end 31 of the sachet 30 which is inclined at about 8 degrees to the horizontal, before passing through condenser 11 mounted in an aperture in a plate 15. The parallel plates 15, 17, are secured to a plate 20 having a plurality of cooling pins 21 thereon to act as a heat sink, the upper end 33 of the sachet 30 being clamped between flanges 23, 24, on the plates 17, 20, respectively.
