Abstract

1,199,523. Valves. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORP. 6 Jan., 1969 [13 Jan., 1968], No. 2025/68. Heading F2V. Movement of closure member 1 of a compressor valve is damped by a pair of oppositelyacting dash pots. As shown, these comprise stationary cylinders 6, 7 and perforated pistons 4, 5 carried by and integral with the closure member, but in a modification (Fig. 2, not shown), the closure member is integral with a pair of cylinders which slide on stationary pistons and have radial vent passages.
