Abstract

1,198,745. Flame spraying powder. METCO Inc. Sept. 25, 1968 [Sept.29, 1967], No. 45642/68. Heading C7F. [Also in Division C1] The individual particles of a flame spray powder are spheroidal and sized between 1Á and - 20 U.S. mesh and are formed of multiple sub-particles bound together without fusion and having a crush resistance of at least 0À7 gms. The powder can be a boride, carbide, cermet, alloy or their mixtures, a long list of examples being given, and a mild steel substrate exemplified.
