Abstract

1,196,127. Block copolymer-polymer compositions. W. R. GRACE & CO. Ltd. 28 Sept., 1967 [30 Sept., 1966; 21 April, 1967], Nos. 12874/69 and 12888/69. Divided out of 1,196,125 and 1,196,123. Heading C3P. Thermoplastic compositions comprise (a) at least 75% of a block copolymer of butadiene and styrene or vinyl pyridine and (b) up to 25% of polystyrene, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or low density polyethylene. The block copolymers containing styrene may be hydrogenated, and those containing vinyl pyridine may be hydrochlorinated. The low density polyethylene may be partially cross-linked. The compositions may also contain a blowing agent and may be formed into sealing gaskets for container closures.
