In a liquid level measuring system a plurality of tubes b 1 , b 2 , b 3 , arranged to terminate at different levels in a tank T are supplied with air which will bubble from the end of each tube b 1 , b 2 , b 3 depending on the specific gravity of the liquid and the arrangement is such that the high-pressure in tube bi is connected to one end of a manometer 1 and the low-pressure in tube b 2 , (c), is connected to the other end of manometer 1 and one end of the manometer 2, the other end of the manometer 2 being connected to the tube b 3 . The manometers 1 and 2 are provided with specific gravity scales (0-90) and (90-100) from which the depth of liquid in the tank can be observed.
