Abstract

1,195,196. Bearings. ROTAX Ltd. 24 Oct., 1967 [3 Aug., 1966], No. 34764/66. Heading F2A. A rolling bearing assembly includes sealing rings 15 extending from outer race 12 towards inner race 10, and a reservoir 17 retaining lubricant displaced centrifugally from the interior of the bearing on operation. Reservoir 17 is formed by annular grooves in races 12 and rotary member 13, and communicates with the interior by radial passages 16. The inner ends of the seals lightly rub on the inner races. The assembly is suitable only for machines operating intermittently.
