Abstract

1,194,954. Window pivot. J. T. CHALMERS. 30 May. 1967 [27 May, 1966], No. 9072/ 68. Heading E2F. A window pivot comprises a block in two parts 15 and 16 each having a semi-circular section channel 17 and' '18 which together form a bearing for a trunnion 23 carried by a plate 22 (to 'be fixed to 'the window frame). The parts 15 and 16 are relatively movable by screws which pass through bores 20 in one block and engage in trapped holes 21 in the other, to vary the frictional force on the trunnion. The plate 22 has a plurality of holes 29 into any one 'of which a spring-loaded catch (24) with a hand lever (27) may fit, the catch being located in a bore 25 in one of the block portions (see Fig. 2, not shown).
